Orchard Cycle Route (Streuobst-Radroute)

A collection of 13 cycling routes.

Overview

About this collection

A laid‑back collection of rides through classic orchard meadows—think spring blossoms, summer shade, and autumn fruit stands. Expect a mixed surface vibe: plenty of asphalt and paved farm tracks, with regular stretches of gravel and the odd cobble or paving stone. Most of the time you’re on farm tracks, quiet roads, and cycleways, with a few short links on busier roads and through pedestrian zones.

It’s rolling rather than flat, with a couple of punchy ramps here and there. A trekking or gravel bike is perfect; road bikes are fine if you’re comfortable on light gravel. Pick a shorter loop for a family spin or string segments together for a longer day out.

Best seasons? Spring for the bloom and late summer to autumn for harvest vibes. Bring a snack, watch for farm traffic, and please respect the orchards—you’re riding through working landscapes. Enjoy the calm roads, big views, and the smell of apples along the way.
