Lake Loop Cycle Routes

A collection of 7 cycling routes.

Overview

About this collection

Easy-going loops around local lakes, perfect for a relaxed day out on the bike. Most of the distance rolls on smooth, paved surfaces—mainly asphalt—with long stretches of dedicated cycleway. You’ll also see short bits on quiet roads, paths, and occasional paving stones or cobbles near town centers.

Generally flat to gently rolling, so suitable for most riders. City, trekking, or gravel bikes fit best; road bikes are fine with care on the brief rough sections. Expect plenty of waterside views, swim spots, and café or kiosk stops.

Tips: ride clockwise for lake views on your right, bring lights for shaded stretches, and slow down on shared paths with pedestrians. If it gets busy, start early or catch golden hour for calm water and easy cruising.
