F75 Cycle Highway Beringen–Maasmechelen

A collection of 6 cycling routes.

Overview

About this collection

The F75 links Beringen to Maasmechelen across Belgian Limburg. It’s a fast, mostly car-free line for everyday rides and weekend cruising. Expect long stretches of dedicated cycleway, some quiet streets, and a couple of short unpaved or gravel bits. Surfaces are mainly asphalt and concrete, so it’s road‑bike friendly—just take it easy on the rough patches. Elevation is mild with gentle ups and downs, good for all levels. Highlights include industrial heritage around Beringen’s mining sites, green corridors and villages through the mining region, and that Meuse valley vibe as you roll into Maasmechelen, close to Hoge Kempen National Park. Ride it end‑to‑end or split it into smaller stages using the local cycle network. Bring lights for brief road sections and follow F75 waymarks where you see them. Plenty of places to grab a snack or coffee along the way.
