F19 Cycle Highway: Dendermonde–Boom
A collection of 3 cycling routes.Fast, flat link between Dendermonde and Boom on the F19 cycle highway. About 10 km, almost entirely paved (roughly 9 km) with a tiny gravel stretch. Most of it is on dedicated cycle paths, with a few short, quiet-road connectors.
Great for commuting, a steady training spin, or a relaxed family ride. Minimal climbing and smooth surfaces suit most bikes, including e-bikes and trailers.
You’re riding between two river towns: Dendermonde sits where the Dender meets the Scheldt, and Boom is known for De Schorre park (Tomorrowland) on the Rupel. Easy coffee and bakery stops at both ends.
Signed as F19 in both directions. Keep an eye on junctions and crossings, but otherwise it’s a simple, straight shot and usually a quick one—especially with a tailwind.
