North Hanover Moor Cycle Route

Easygoing loop through the moorlands north of Hanover, linking peat bogs, woods, streams, and quiet villages. Expect mostly flat riding on a mix of smooth bike paths, farm tracks, and plenty of gravel, with a few short cobbled and wooden sections to keep things interesting. Start anywhere along the loop and ride as much as you like. Trekking or gravel bikes are ideal; road bikes work but watch the rougher bits. Best from spring to autumn; after rain some stretches can be soft. This is a protected landscape—stay on the path, respect signs, and give wildlife space. Pack water and snacks, as services are clustered in the larger villages. Perfect for a relaxed day out with nature stops and a café break on the way.
