F37 Ypres - Deinze (detours)

The F37 is the Flemish cycle highway linking Ypres (Ieper) and Deinze. It strings together dedicated bike paths, quiet rural roads, and a few busier links. This collection focuses on current detours, so expect some signed deviations and short stretches of gravel or paving stones along the way.

Riding is mostly flat (it’s Flanders), with wind often the biggest “climb.” Surfaces are mainly asphalt and concrete, with the odd unpaved bit on the detours. You’ll roll past fields, canals, and the Leie/Lys near Deinze, with historic Ypres at the other end.

Good for commuting or an easy day ride in either direction. Bring lights for junctions, keep an eye out for traffic on short road sections, and note that unpaved parts can be soft after rain. Plenty of bakeries and cafés pop up in the towns you pass. Ypres and Deinze both have train stations, so one-way rides are simple.
