Geo Route - Hilly Mixed-Surface Cycling

A collection of 5 cycling routes.

Overview

About this collection

A varied ride for folks who like a bit of everything. Most of it rolls along quiet roads, with plenty of farm tracks in the mix and a few short cycleway links. You’ll hit brief busy connectors too, so lights are a good idea.

Surfaces are mostly asphalt, with stretches of gravel and cobbles plus a touch of loose stuff. 32–40 mm tires (or a gravel bike) will keep it comfy. Expect roughly 1,087 m of climbing and similar descent, delivered as steady ups and downs rather than one huge climb.

It’s a solid day out for endurance-minded riders or an ambitious fitness loop. Pace it, snack often, and enjoy the changes in terrain. After rain, the gravel can get soft and messy, so plan accordingly. Navigation is straightforward on the road sections and a bit more hands-on on the tracks—bring a GPS and you’re set.
