F104 Cycle Highway Aarschot–Lier (proposed)

A future fast cycling link across Flanders, the F104 will connect Aarschot and Lier with a direct, low-stress corridor built for everyday riding. Think smooth surfaces, gentle grades, and as much separation from traffic as possible—great for commuters and casual spins alike.

This collection gathers what’s currently mapped on OSM for the planned route. Some pieces may already be rideable, while others are still proposals, so expect gaps and detours for now. Follow local bike signs where you see them and use parallel quiet streets to bridge missing links.

Aarschot sits on the Demer; Lier on the Nete—both are welcoming cycling towns with easy train connections, cafés, and nice spots to start or finish a ride. As the project advances, the F104 will stitch together the towns in between into a smooth, predictable line.
