Super 7 Cycle Route (608 km)

A collection of 15 cycling routes.

Overview

About this collection

A big, mixed-surface ride linking quiet backroads, cycleways, and a few gravel bits. It runs about 608 km with roughly 5,500 m of climbing and a touch more descending, so expect steady ups and downs rather than epic mountain passes.

Surface is mostly asphalt, with occasional unpaved and gravel sections plus the odd wooden bridge or paving stones. 32–40 mm tires are ideal; a road bike works if you take it easy where it gets rough.

The route leans heavily on quiet roads, but there are some busy connectors—lights and high-vis help. You’ll also pass through short pedestrian areas; roll slow and yield.

Great for a multi-day ride or a lightweight bikepacking trip. Breaking it into 6–8 stages keeps days reasonable. Works in either direction and is easy to join from many points.

Tips: download offline maps, check local rules, and watch for construction on road sections. Weather can swing over a long route, so pack layers and plan water/food stops.

If you’re after a long, varied ride with plenty of smooth tarmac and just enough gravel to keep it interesting, Super 7 delivers.
