This collection maps the F42 corridor between Ghent and Bruges in Flanders—a fast, mostly flat line aimed at quick, comfy cycling between two historic cities. It’s still a “wish line,” so expect gaps, temporary detours, and mixed signage. When it clicks, you’ll roll along canal towpaths (Ghent–Bruges Canal), farmland, and quiet villages, with easy access to cafés and picnic spots by the water.

Riding feel: a mix of dedicated cycleways and quiet streets, plus a few busy crossings. Surfaces vary from smooth asphalt and concrete to stretches of compact gravel, so 28–40 mm tires are ideal. In urban sections, it may hop onto local streets before rejoining traffic-free paths.

Practical bits: start from Ghent-Sint-Pieters or Bruges station and pick off sections in either direction. Check for works and local diversions before you go, bring lights for underpasses, and keep an eye on wind across the open fields. Great for commuters and a laid-back day trip alike.
