F19 Bike Highway Dendermonde - Boom
F19 Dendermonde–Boom Cycle Highway
A collection of 3 cycling routes.
Overview
About this collection
Fast, flat, and mostly traffic-free, the F19 links Dendermonde and Boom along the Scheldt/Rupel corridor. It’s part of Flanders’ signed “fietsostrade” network, so wayfinding is easy—just follow F19.
Expect smooth riding on mostly asphalt and concrete, with only a tiny stretch of unpaved/gravel. The route uses dedicated cycleways almost end to end, with a few short, quiet road sections. Elevation is minimal, making it perfect for commuting, fitness laps, or a relaxed weekend spin.
You’ll get a mix of riverside scenery and village passages, plus handy access to services and public transport near the endpoints. Pack lights for the odd underpass and wider tires if you like extra comfort on the brief rough bit. Otherwise, it’s plug-and-ride.
