US Bicycle Route 30

US Bicycle Route 30 (super)

US Bicycle Route 30

A collection of 27 cycling routes.

Overview

About this collection

An east–west US Bicycle Route linking towns, bike paths, and country roads. Expect a mix of surfaces: lots of smooth pavement, plenty of gravel, and a few short unpaved connectors. Big portions run on dedicated cycleways, with some stretches on busier roads—bring lights and be visible. It’s a solid pick for touring; 35–40 mm tires make life easier on the rougher bits.

Easy to ride in sections or as a longer tour, with a little bit of everything: quiet backroads, small‑town main streets, and traffic‑free path miles. Services and shoulder quality change by state, and signage can be hit‑or‑miss, so keep offline maps handy and check local DOT bike maps.

Ride it for a varied, cross‑state adventure with plenty of paved cruising, scenic off‑road segments, and just enough grit to keep things interesting.
