Järva Cycle Route

A collection of 11 cycling routes.

Overview

About this collection

Explore northwest Stockholm’s Järva on a relaxed ride that blends city‑edge bike paths with easy gravel through parks and open fields. The route mixes surfaces—plenty of gravel and unpaved track with long stretches of asphalt cycleway—so a hybrid or gravel bike is perfect (road bikes will manage, just expect some crunch). Terrain is gently rolling with roughly 340 m of climbing, spread out without any scary ramps.

You’ll spend most of the time on dedicated cycleways and quiet roads, with short bits of path plus the odd paving‑stone patch or tiny wooden bridge. It’s great for an after‑work spin or a casual weekend outing, and works well in either direction. Go with wider tires and bring a spare tube, especially after rain. Keep an eye out for green spaces and local wildlife along the way.
