Camino Slovenia Cycling Routes

Ride Slovenia’s take on the Camino: a collection of cycling stages along Jakobova pot (St. James Way). Expect mostly paved riding on quiet roads and signed cycleways, with a few short busy-road links and the odd stretch of gravel or cobbles.

The routes connect towns, countryside, and historic churches across the country. It’s a steady, scenic traverse with meaningful stops if you’re into pilgrimage history—and plenty of great coffee breaks if you’re just here to ride.

Across the collection you’ll cover around 570 km with plenty of climbing, so plan for full days and bring lights for the on-road sections. Touring or endurance road bikes work well; 30–35 mm tires make the brief rough bits easy.
