Sverigeleden – Sweden National Cycle Route

Sweden’s classic long-distance cycling network, linking towns, lakes, forests, and coastline from south to north. This collection covers the main Sverigeleden corridors and spurs, so you can stitch together anything from a weekend spin to a full-country tour.

Expect mostly paved riding on regular roads, with a mix of quiet backroads, some busier stretches, and the occasional dedicated cycleway or path. There are short gravel sections and the odd cobbled or wooden bridge, plus pedestrian areas through village centers.

It’s great for touring and bikepacking setups. Services are frequent in and around towns, and you’ll pass plenty of fika stops. Trains and buses connect many segments, making point-to-point rides easy. Best season is late spring to early autumn; shoulder seasons can be cool and windy, especially by the coast.
