Vinařská stezka Podluží
A collection of 3 cycling routes.A light to moderate ride across Podluží in southern Moravia – a region of vineyards, folklore, and floodplain forests along the Morava and Dyje rivers. The route connects a number of wine-growing villages and can be started practically anywhere.
The surface is mostly asphalt and other paved paths, but expect longer sections on gravel and field/forest roads. It mainly follows quiet roads and cycle paths, with occasional short passages along busier roads. The total elevation gain is about 700 m, so mostly flat with gentle undulations – ideal for a relaxed day in the saddle.
Bike: trekking or gravel bikes are the best choice; a road bike can manage, but expect gravel, sand, and cobblestones in a few places. After rain, unpaved sections may be muddy. In summer, carry plenty of water, but you'll often find wine cellars and refreshment points along the route.
Tip: set off outside rush hours and take lights even during the day. The best season is spring to autumn, when the vineyards are colourful.
