A collection of 6 cycling routes.

Overview

About this collection

Industrial culture meets water: This collection guides you along quiet roads, paths, and many tracks to traces of mining and energy history and lots of lakes. The surface alternates between asphalt and gravel, with short sections of cobblestones, sand, and paving stones – most comfortable with a touring or gravel bike. The profile is mostly flat with a few short waves, ideal for relaxed cruising, photo stops, and breaks by the water.

You often ride away from traffic, past industrial relics and viewpoints by the water. Plan time for small detours, picnics, or, if it fits, a swim in the lake.

Tips: bring lights and a bell; gravel and sand can be slippery when wet. Shorter sections suit children and beginners, and if you want more, just combine several stages. Best from spring to autumn.
