Barnim Triangle Bike Loop

A triangle-shaped loop through Barnim, just north of Berlin. It’s mostly smooth and fast on asphalt, with a few short stretches of gravel and cobbles to keep things interesting. Expect a lot of bike paths and quiet roads, with only brief bits on busier sections.

Elevation is rolling rather than steep, with roughly 420 m of climbing—great for a steady fitness ride or a relaxed day out. Surfaces are predominantly paved, so a road bike with wider tires or a gravel/trekking bike is perfect.

As it’s a loop, you can start anywhere that’s convenient. The route strings together forest paths and open countryside, making it a nice escape from the city without going too far. Plan for roughly 50–55 km total, mostly on good surfaces, and enjoy the mix of calm paths and scenic rural vibes.
