A collection of 5 cycling routes.

Overview

About this collection

A Swiss crossing that connects the Jorat forests, the Three Lakes region (Neuchâtel, Morat, Biel), and the hills of the Emmental. This collection favors quiet, secondary roads, with sections on agricultural paths and gravel — ideal for a sturdy road bike, trekking, or gravel bike (30–40 mm tires recommended).

The terrain alternates between rolling climbs in the forest, flat sections along the lakes, and the dairy valleys of the Emme: varied rhythm, landscapes that change frequently. Mostly riding on asphalt, with some sections of concrete, cobblestones, wood, and a good stretch of unpaved for fun; heavily trafficked segments are rare.

Fountains and villages are frequent to refill, and in Switzerland, a train station is never far if the weather turns. Best period: spring to autumn, for the beautiful lights over the lakes and, in clear weather, views of the Alps and Jura. Bring something for climbing and enjoy the rural calm.
