About this collection

Along the Lot river, this collection brings together easy-to-link cycling sections from the South-West. Mostly riding on asphalt, with some gravel/trail portions and shared paths. The terrain is quite hilly: it undulates, sometimes with good climbs, but the views of the valley, villages and vineyards are worth it. Ideal for multi-day bike trips or day loops: pick a segment, follow the meanders of the Lot in either direction, and connect the villages as you wish. Plan for suitable tires on unpaved sections and be cautious on some busier roads; the rest is quiet on country roads and some cycle lanes. Best periods: spring and autumn for light and mild weather; in summer, start early and enjoy breaks by the water.
