Radroute Delitzsch–Torgau

Between Delitzsch and Torgau, you cycle relaxed through northern Saxony – lots of countryside, small villages, and at the end, the Elbe River. Starting in the old town of Delitzsch, the destination is Torgau with the Renaissance Hartenfels Castle right on the river.

The route mixes solid asphalt with long sections on farm and field paths. There are also gravel stretches, short sandy patches, and occasional cobblestones. Mostly quiet on minor roads and paths, with a few short sections on busier roads. Overall, fairly flat to gently rolling.

Best enjoyed with a trekking or gravel bike. With a road bike, you need to be cautious depending on the surface. After rain, the unpaved sections can get soft.

Little highlights: a short stop at the Delitzsch castle, wide field views en route, and to finish, the old town atmosphere in Torgau along with the Elbe panorama. Pack water and snacks – much of the ride is through open areas.
