Moravská vinná stezka

A collection of 8 cycling routes.

Overview

About this collection

A collection of cycling routes that will take you through the heart of Moravian vineyards and wine villages. Expect mainly asphalt and quiet country roads, sometimes pleasant bike paths, occasionally gravel, cobblestones or dirt tracks. Occasionally you also ride on busier roads, so lights and caution are useful. The profile is rather rolling – a few long climbs reward you with views of vineyards and countryside.

The routes are ideal for weekend trips and multi-day tours with stops at wine cellars. Road bikes can handle it, but trekking or gravel bikes are more comfortable; wider tires are appreciated due to gravel and cobblestones. After rain, mud can appear on field sections.

Tips for the journey: plan to refill water and food between villages, watch out for traffic on main roads, and ride with respect for locals and winemakers. The best season is spring through autumn, when vineyards are colorful and the weather favors long rides. Whether you seek landscape, wine, or easy cycling, this Moravian classic won’t disappoint you.
