F40 Ringvaart Zuid: Lovendegem–Melle

Fast, almost flat route along the Ringvaart around Ghent, from Lovendegem to Melle. This F40 section follows the canal and mainly uses segregated bike paths, often asphalted, with few crossings. Ideal for commuting or a relaxed ride along the water; you can pedal smoothly, at most some wind in the open stretches.

Along the way, there are simple turn-offs to Ghent and surrounding municipalities. Expect canal views, straight lines, and a clear route without notable hills.
