Pilgrimage Route

Pilger-Radroute

A collection of 3 cycling routes.

Overview

About this collection

This collection brings together pilgrimage cycling routes – mostly on asphalt and quiet roads, with a few sections on gravel, paths, and tracks. There are few designated bike paths; occasionally the routes use busier roads, so ride attentively. It's not flat: nearly 2000 meters of elevation gain provide variety and views. A touring or gravel bike works well, and wider tires make the short unpaved sections more comfortable. You can flexibly combine the segments as daily stages or ride them individually. Plan enough time for breaks and respect other users – pilgrims on foot often share these paths. Tip: Bring lights and provisions and check the weather, as conditions can change quickly in hilly terrain. Enjoy exploring!
