Cycling in Overton

Start from the Spar in Overton and cycle most mostly quiet A and B roads out via Whitchurch, Wherwell, Longstock, Stockbridge, Mottisfont, then east across the top of Chandler's Ford, north through Winchester, then east to New Alresford, north through Preston Candover and finally returning to Overton via North Waltham.   Just under 100 km, some hills but all easy climbs

Start in Overton at the Spar. Travel north-east to Hannington, then west towards Witchurch and St Mary Bourne. Next cycle south west to Smannell, returning east via Hurtsbourne Priors  and Whitchuh. Finally cycle south east from Whitchrchh following Laverstoke Lane towards Micheldever retrning to Overton via Steventon   Approx 66 km on mostly quiet B roads and country lanes.

A circuit 'tourist' route to link the Whitchurch Silk Mill to the Gin Distillery at Laverstoke, using pleasant minor lanes.

Start at the Spar in Overton, cycle north east out of the village through Ashe Warren towards Oekley/Newfound (section on the B3400 is not good at rush hour). Turn north passing through Wotton Saint Lawrence travelling north east to Monk Sherborne. Continue through Monsford and Pamber End, circling round/though Pamber Forest. Skirt the eastern, then northern Edge of Tadley. Pedal On Bike shop can be visited if you want. Cycle est through Heath End, passing through Axmansford into Kingsclere. Continue west towards Sydmonton, turning south over the Watership Down (steep climb) towards Cole Henley. Follow the road west then south again, joining the B3400 at Freefolk Return to Overton on the B3400 (avoid at rush hour).
