Cycling in Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet

<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial;">This was another absolutely wonderful ride on outstanding low traffic road.<span> </span>And we passed several cols marked with signs but which were not on the map.<span> </span>Our only disappointment was that the two marked gorges on the map were nice, but definitely not spectacular such as we have become accustomed to in France.</span> <span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial;">Notable places we passed included:</span> <span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial;">Château de Peyrepertuse</span> <span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial;">Col de Redoulade (752 M)</span> <span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial;">Château de Durfort</span> <span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial;">Château de Terms</span> <span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial;">Col de Bedos (485 M)</span> <span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial;">Col du Prat (444 M)</span> <span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial;">Château de Padern</span> Background:<br /><br /><br />My wife and I have been doing self-supported tours in Western Europe (a majority in France) since 1993.  This series of rides covers our 2005 2 month route through parts of France.  Our beginning and ending point is near Chaduri (south of Angoulême) where our friends have a farm with Gites and Chambres d'Hotes.<br /><br /><br />We rode our Dawes touring bicycles purchased in 1993 heavily loaded with 700Cx32 tires.  All of our riding was on paved roads, mostly with very little traffic.<br /><br /><br />If any questions, feel free to email me at jeffkadet@netdiving.com<br /><br /><br />Jeff

Outstanding low traffic roads.  Excellent ride.

Entire ride was excellent low traffic road with wonderful scenery. 

Today's route was exceptional.  All roads were outstanding low traffic roads with beautiful scenery and vistas. Make sure that you do not miss riding through the Gorges de Galamus. (cloned from route 2307970)
