A quick ride with the intention of buyingbread from the French Workshop on 39th Avenue and Bell Blvd. Bought batard, almond pound cake and a pistahcio muffin at French Workshop. There is one heck of a hill topping up on 33rd Ave and 154th Street!

Went to Mediterranean in Astoria.  Bought olives, taramosalata, tzatziki, giardinera, mushrooms, tomoatoes, pita, feta and teropita for our mezze dinner. Chilly weather.  Slightly warmer than yesterday and the sun was out, but the wind was gusting strong.

061520 BLM Street Art

Cycling route in Long Island City, New York, United States

Black Lives Matters was painted on Fulton Street by Marcy Ave.  They just finished it on the 14th, so I wanted to go see it. The BLM Street Painting was great.  Lots of people aroound taking pictures. First time I ever did that cut through of the Western Beef parking lot betwween Grand and Flushing. Did the overpass stairs carring bike again.  It is slowly becoming easier. Portland Street is a closed street, so I was not going against active traffic. I did go against active traffic on DeKalb and Washington Park. The block of Portland between DeKab and Lafayette is magnificent! Hall Street is a closed street. Did stairs up the Pulaski Bridge at Box Street.  That is also becomning easier. In general, seeing more parents with kids biking (kids having theri own bikes).  Glad to see that. Got an Italian bomb from Sal Chris & Charlie's on 23rd Aven and 35th Street.
