Cycling in Sodus

The start of the ride was through some nice countryside that had a number of vineyards and orchards. Most of the ride, though, was through various residential areas that were almost non-stop. Definitely not bad riding, but not so scenic. There were some interesting houses, though. Except for just a couple of relatively short stretches, all of the ride was on low-traffic roads. The exceptions included a few miles on Rt 104, which we did because the parallel road that we were riding on was closed at some point before we would have turned south to Ontario Center. Another was Rt 31 into Rochester and our hotel. Rt 104 had excellent bike lane. Rt 31 had some bikelane, but at some point that lane disappeared. There's a couple of miles extra at the end going back and forth as we missed the hotel and then had to back-track a mile or so.
