Cycling day trip from Geneva to Lausanne

Looking for a classic Swiss cycling adventure? Ride from Geneva to Lausanne—two of the prettiest cities on Lake Geneva—over about 92 km of mostly well-paved roads. Geneva is famous for its international vibe, iconic water fountain (the Jet d’Eau), and stunning views of Mont Blanc. Winding northeast, you’ll pass through vineyards and peaceful lakeside towns, with mostly quiet roads and only a touch of gravel and concrete mixed in.

Expect some climbs (you’ll gain nearly 870 meters on the way) but nothing too extreme, and you’ll almost always have a view of those legendary Alps or sparkling lake. The routes are a blend of calm country roads and cycleways, making for a pleasant, mostly traffic-free ride.
