Cycling day trip from Bern to Kerzers

This scenic ride takes you from the heart of Bern, the Swiss capital famous for its UNESCO-listed old town and iconic Bear Park, out to the charming town of Kerzers. Covering just under 33 km, the route winds northwest through rolling countryside and small villages, offering a great mix of urban energy at the start and peaceful rural vibes as you pedal along.

You’ll climb and descend a few times—expect about 480 meters of ascent and almost 600 meters down—so there are some rewarding views (and fun descents!) along the way. Much of the ride follows quiet roads and gravel tracks, meaning it’s a good idea to bring a sturdy bike and maybe avoid super skinny tires.
