Cycling day trip from Überlingen to Kreuzlingen

This beautiful cycling route takes you from Überlingen, a charming lakeside town on the northern shore of Lake Constance, down to Kreuzlingen on the Swiss side. Überlingen is known for its lovely old town, sunny lakeside promenade, and relaxing thermal baths – a great place to start your ride!

The journey covers just under 50 km, tracing the edge of Lake Constance and rolling through a patchwork of quiet roads and cycle paths. Expect a few gentle climbs (with about 585 meters of ascent overall), but nothing too daunting, and sweeping descents with gorgeous lake views as your reward.

Most of the route is on smooth asphalt or well-maintained paths, making it a relaxed ride, perfect for road bikes or hybrids. Along the way, you'll pass through picturesque villages and lush orchards, with plenty of lakeside stops for snacks and photos.

You’ll finish in Kreuzlingen, right on the Swiss border, next to the lively city of Konstanz. Kreuzlingen is known for the Seeburgpark and its beautiful harbor area—a lovely spot to unwind by the water after your journey!
