Cycling day trip from Traben-Trarbach to Cochem

This scenic ride takes you from the charming Art Nouveau town of Traben-Trarbach, nestled along the Moselle River, all the way to the picturesque city of Cochem with its fairytale castle perched above the valley. The route is about 62 km, mostly paved and on quiet paths close to the river, with just enough ups and downs (~700 meters ascent) to keep your legs honest without being too demanding.

You’ll meander past lush vineyards, timbered villages, and plenty of opportunities to stop for local Riesling or a snack by the water. With most of the ride on dedicated cycle paths (over 80%), you won’t have to worry much about traffic, just relax and soak up views of the Mosel valley.
