By bicycle from Oberschleißheim to Unterföhring

This ride takes you from Oberschleißheim, famous for its grand Baroque Schleissheim Palace and beautiful canals, to Unterföhring, a lively suburb known as a media and broadcasting hub just northeast of Munich.

The route is super friendly for cyclists—almost entirely on paved roads, with a mix of peaceful paths and quiet roads, so you can enjoy the scenery without having to dodge heavy traffic. You’ll pass a blend of green spaces and suburban neighborhoods, and there are just enough gentle ups and downs to keep things interesting (but nothing too steep, promise).

At about 15 km, it’s perfect for a relaxed morning spin or a quick after-work ride. You might spot some rowers on the Regatta course near Oberschleißheim, and once you roll into Unterföhring, you’re right at the gateway to Munich’s vast Isar riverside parks.
