Quick ride by bicycle from Langenargen to Lindau

This is a lovely ride along the shores of Lake Constance, starting in the charming lakeside town of Langenargen and ending in the historic island city of Lindau. The 18 km route is mostly flat, with a gentle ascent and descent of around 140 meters—perfect for a relaxing cruise without much climbing.

You’ll be pedaling on mostly paved and quiet roads (about 95% paved!), with just a few short stretches on gravel or cobblestone to keep things interesting. The scenery is pure Bodensee magic: leafy lanes, lakeside views, and plenty of stops for photos or a quick dip. Along the way, you’ll pass through small hamlets and waterside meadows—keep an eye out for swans!

Langenargen is known for its picturesque harbor and the fairytale Montfort Castle, while Lindau is famous for its medieval old town, set on an island and surrounded by historic buildings and cafes. A perfect route if you want to combine lakeside vibes with a touch of Bavarian history.
