Cycling day trip from Ehingen to Ulm

This scenic ride starts in Ehingen, a charming town on the Danube River, known for its historic brewery culture and lovely half-timbered houses. From here, you’ll cruise mostly on smooth paved surfaces, following a mix of quiet rural tracks and paths—the kind of roads where you might spot more cows than cars. The ride is about 32 km, gradually rolling past fields and woods with gentle climbs (just under 90 meters of ascent) and a nice descent as you approach Ulm.

As you near the finish, the landscape opens up to reveal Ulm’s impressive silhouette, dominated by the Ulm Minster—the church with the tallest steeple in the world! Take a break in Ulm’s lively Altstadt (old town), maybe stroll the banks of the Danube, or refuel at a local café.
