By bicycle from Bonn to Bad Honnef

This scenic ride takes you from the lively city of Bonn, once the capital of West Germany, to the charming spa town of Bad Honnef on the banks of the Rhine. Covering about 18 km, it’s a relaxed journey—perfect for a half-day adventure. The route is mostly flat, with just gentle ups and downs (you’ll hardly notice the climbs), and you’ll be riding on smooth surfaces nearly the entire way.

As you leave Bonn, you follow paths and quiet roads that hug the river. You’ll enjoy fantastic views of the Siebengebirge hills across the water, especially near Königswinter. Keep an eye out for lush greenery and riverside cafés—great spots for a quick break.
