Cycling day trip from Tours to Saumur

Set off from the lively city of Tours, known for its elegant Renaissance buildings and buzzing café culture. This route will take you about 85 km west through the scenic Loire Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site brimming with vineyards, peaceful villages, and riverside views. You’ll mostly ride on quiet country roads with a good mix of paved and asphalt surfaces—expect some short stretches of gravel and unpaved track for a bit of adventure.
