Cycling day trip from Milan to Lecco

Ready for a scenic adventure from the heart of Milan to the charming lakeside town of Lecco? This 73 km ride takes you north out of Milan’s elegant streets (famous for fashion, art, and, of course, perfect cappuccinos) and straight into some of Lombardy’s prettiest countryside.

You’ll glide along a mix of mostly paved and asphalt cycleways (over half the route is proper bike path!) but keep an eye out for some stretches of gravel and paving stones, especially as you edge towards the hills. The route features a moderate climb—just over 500 meters in elevation—so you’ll get your heart pumping but nothing too extreme.
