Cycling day trip from Glurns to Merano

Hey fellow cyclists! Ready for a delightful pedal from Glurns to Merano? This 60-kilometer route promises a smorgasbord of stunning scenery and a bit of everything road-wise.

Starting in Glurns, this charming town is one of the smallest in Italy and happens to be the only town in South Tyrol with its medieval walls still intact. It's like stepping into a fairy tale, making the beginning of your journey quite magical.

As you set off, you'll mostly be coasting along asphalt roads, so no worries about the terrain being too tricky. The path's got a nice mix—nearly half of it is cycleway and the rest meanders through quiet roads and scenic paths. Do watch for those gravel patches; they're minimal but make sure your tires are up for it!

You'll climb a bit initially, ascending around 287 meters, but it's mostly downhill to Merano with a whopping 887-meter descent, keeping the legs fresh. Merano is a gem in itself, famed for its spa resorts and beautiful landscapes, perfect for a relaxing finish.
