Cycling day trip from Škofja Loka to Ljubljana

This ride takes you from the charming medieval town of Škofja Loka all the way to Slovenia’s bustling capital, Ljubljana. Škofja Loka is known for its picturesque old town, with its colorful houses and impressive castle, making it a lovely spot to start your ride. The route is about 23.5 km and mostly follows quiet roads and smooth asphalt paths, so you’ll get a peaceful ride with a good chunk of it away from busy traffic.

On your way, you’ll climb a bit (just under 300 meters in ascent), but nothing too wild, and there’s even more descent, so you’ll be rolling downhill as you approach Ljubljana.
