Cycling day trip from Poreč to Pula

This scenic cycling route takes you from the charming coastal town of Poreč to the historic city of Pula, both gems of Croatia’s Istria peninsula. Covering about 76 km, it’s a great day-long ride if you plan for breaks and a leisurely pace.

You’ll start in Poreč, famed for its UNESCO-listed Euphrasian Basilica and picturesque old town. The journey winds through rolling hills, olive groves, and vineyards, offering plenty of sea glimpses and peaceful countryside. The route is mostly on quiet roads and tracks, with a mix of paved and unpaved surfaces—so wider tires are a good idea. Expect a fair amount of climbing, with total ascents just over 860 meters, but nothing too extreme.
