Cycling day trip from Poreč to Pula

Kick off your biking adventure in Poreč, a charming town along the sunny Croatian coast. Known for its stunning beaches and the historic UNESCO-listed Euphrasian Basilica, Poreč provides an excellent starting point for our ride to Pula. As you set out, expect a mix of paved and gravel paths leading you through the picturesque Istrian countryside.

The journey to Pula spans just under 76 kilometers, weaving through untouched natural landscapes and quaint villages. With a decent ascent of around 860 meters and an almost equal descent, you'll have a nice balance of uphill motivation and thrilling downhill sprints. Don’t worry about heavy traffic; most of the ride is along quiet roads and tracks. Keep an eye out for some missing surface areas though, and stay adaptable for light gravel sections that make up about a quarter of the journey.

As you reach Pula, marvel at the Roman architecture, particularly the impressive Pula Arena, an ancient amphitheater still standing proud.
