Cycling day trip from Novigrad to Poreč

Here’s a scenic ride connecting two of Istria’s gems! Starting in Novigrad—a charming fishing town known for its medieval walls and seafood restaurants—you’ll spin south through rolling countryside with sweeping vineyard views. The route is about 20 km, with a pleasant mix of quiet roads and some gravel tracks, so expect a little variety under your wheels.

You’ll climb gently (total ascent just over 220 meters) and pass through tranquil villages, olive groves, and patches of Mediterranean woodland. It’s mostly paved, but keep an eye out for those unpaved and gravel sections—nothing a hybrid or gravel bike can’t handle.
