Cycling day trip from Koper to Poreč

Set off from the vibrant port city of Koper, Slovenia, and pedal your way south all the way to the historic seaside town of Poreč, Croatia! This scenic ride winds for about 75 km, with a mix of surfaces—mostly smooth tarmac, but expect some stretches of gravel and quieter backroads to keep things interesting. You’ll roll through gentle hills (total ascent under 800 meters), charming Slovenian and Croatian villages, olive groves, and vineyards, with glimpses of the stunning Adriatic never far away.

Koper’s atmospheric old town is clustered with Venetian architecture—definitely worth a wander before you leave. Poreč, at the finish, is famed for its UNESCO-listed Euphrasian Basilica, and has plenty of lively seaside cafes to celebrate your ride.
