Berg, Burg & Bach-Tour

The tour starts in Burbach and initially leads past Malstatt by the forest cemetery to Rastpfuhl, where it enters the urban forest at Gilbenkopf. Over the pond at Nauwies, it heads towards Heinrichshaus and from there along the Friedwald towards Riegelsberg. At the level of the Saarbahn stop Riegelsberg Süd, it re-enters the forest heading towards Püttlingen. Through the recreational area Espenwald to Engelfangen, then downhill to Köllerbach to the former castle remains. From here, via the Köllertal cycle path to Püttlingen, where on good weather one can enjoy an ice cream, then continuing towards Völklingen. We leave the Köllertal cycle path in favour of a small loop through the forest area along the Köllerbach creek and then ride down via Heidstock to the Saar to return comfortably to Burbach using the towpath.
