Together with the Centro Cicogne and the Castle of Racconigi, the large farms and the Forest of Merlino are the standout elements of this ring on the northern edge of the Cuneo plain.

The suggested loop route, Racconigi-Forest of Merlino, is part of the Cyclo Monviso itineraries. The presence of waymarks prevents unwanted deviations on the mostly unpaved country lanes that cut through fields of corn and other intense crops, particularly around the Forest of Merlino.

Short length. Road surface: half asphalt and half natural, uncomfortable after rain. No traffic, but caution is necessary at crossings of the provincial roads, especially at the two crossings of the Sp 20.
