<span style="font-size: small; color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;">Über Las Terrazas gelangt man gen Westen nach Soroa, die Strecke bis dahin ist jedoch sehr bergig. In<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Soroa sollte man den Orchideengarten besuchen. Dann rollt man hinab in die Ebene. Wer es eilig hat, kann über die Autopista auf dem häufig auftretenden „Jetstreams“ weiterdüsen, die gemütlichere und abwechslungsreichere Variante ist die Carretera Central. In San Diego empfiehlt sich ein Besuch im Balenario, wo man in Thermalquellen baden und seine müden Knochen massieren lassen kann.</span>
