11. Etappe: Sandino - Pinar del Rio

From Sandino, the route initially leads to Isabel Rubio, where you turn east onto the Carretera Central. You now pass through Cuba's main tobacco-growing area with its distinctive curing barns, but many fruits and vegetables are also grown here, and you can buy the produce for a few pesos by the roadside. In San Juan y Martinez, you can still grab a snack. Traffic noticeably increases up to Pinar del Rio. Just outside, on the road to Vinales, lies the campsite 'Villa Aguas Claras'.
