Shaw Island

Each of the major Islands is an outstanding ride, but since nobody has posted a route on Shaw, I'll do the honors.  Caution: part of Hoffman Cove Rd. is gravel, at least it was in 2008 when my son and I rode it.  The only store of any kind is at the ferry dock, so get your snacks there or plan accordingly. 

Pluses: County Park, rural feel of the island, sparse traffic. 

Minuses: the aforementioned gravel road if you have skinny tires as I do, also, most of the roads that lead to the shore are dead-end.  The pluses far outweigh the minuses IMHO.
