All'ombra del Monte Bianco

Challenging itinerary that runs through the high Aosta Valley. It starts from Arvier and reaches, via the S.S. 26 Pré Saint Didier, from which it continues along the old state road to Courmayeur. From Morgex, Mont Blanc will accompany you throughout the itinerary. From Courmayeur, you return to Pré Saint Didier on the state road and take the climb that leads first to La Thuile and then to the Colle del Piccolo San Bernardo. Here, a stop before the descent to La Thuile and the tough ramps leading to Colle San Carlo. A steep and technical descent will bring you back to Morgex to then take the state road that, slightly downhill, will return you to the starting point. The route can be tackled in a clockwise direction; in this case, you approach Colle San Carlo from Morgex, one of the toughest climbs in Italy, which, in the past, was also faced by the professionals of the Giro d'Italia.
