Overview

About this route

1

Itinerary that starts from Rivarone, descends along the Tanaro and after a few meters meets the Cappella Mora, immersed among poplars and fields. The road rises slightly allowing a panorama of the area: on the left the Tanaro and on the right fields and the fraction of Fiondi and in front the castle of Montecastello. One continues and meets the swimming pool La Collina, at this point one enjoys a magnificent view of all Alessandria and beyond if the days are clear, from here to Betania the road takes the name of Strada Serra, a road used by Napoleon to get to Marengo. Places to note are Betania, a religious center and the endpoint of our itinerary. The itinerary is not for everyone, and it is recommended to walk it with the utmost caution, in some stretches it is very steep. Places of leisure: swimming pool La Collina and park on the banks of the Tanaro in Rivarone.
